I have handmade combs made by Kent, Madora, Mason Pearson, and Ace, as well as several horn and other wood combs. This comb glides through my hair more smoothly than any of them.
The teeth are more pointy than those of my other combs, but they do not scratch. My scalp feels pleasantly warm after combing (not scritching), which I take to be a good sign of increased circulation.
When the comb arrived it still had a little Camellia oil residue on it and had a curious scent. This is the result of the Camellia oil sold by Chidoriya World (which has a nutty scent) combined with the natural scent of the boxwood. Flaxen tells me that the scent will fade.
A note about Chidoriya World: their customer service is excellent. They replied to both of my emails within an hour, and shipping was very quick.
I highly recommend this comb and Chidoriya World.
