Pros:
|
Good for my hair
|
|
Cons:
|
Too much looks stringy
|

Jojoba oil is my favorite oil, having tried coconut and olive oil as well. My hair is already in fairly good shape, and jojoba does the best job keeping it that way. I use it a lot even though I'm now No Water, and my hair doesn't look too stringy unless I put way too much on. I've heard it has transdermal properties, as well, and is good for acne, so I use it for everything. I love jojoba! Price entered in price paid is per ounce.

Pros:

unscented, long-lasting, moisturizing, for skin too.

Cons:

stringy hair if too much applied

Jojoba oil is my "everything" product. I use it for skin, nails and hair. I use the one from Trader Joe's.
Hair
I use it as a leave-in, a pre-wash scalp treatment, and in my SMT. A few drops is all it takes-any more than that and my hair gets "stringy".
Skin
I use this alone or with Hyaluronic Acid. It works great mixed with Shea butter on my cuticles and feet for that extra "umph" of moisture. I also use it as an eye make-up remover.
I'm on my third bottle. I find that even using it several times a day for my various beautification rituals one bottle lasts 3 months. It's unscented so it does not clash with my Manor Hall leave-in or my conditioners.
I have tried EVOO and coconut oil as well as leave-ins. EVOO is too heavy, and leave my hair stringy and oily. Coconut oil was a tad heavier than jojoba, but I can use jojoba for so many other things, I stick with buying jojoba.

Jojoba oil was one of the first carrier oils I bought.I use it sometimes after washing,in my mister bottle with some recipes and in my heavy oilings.Like I said-if applied too much it does make my hair too oily.

Bought mine TJ's, the Desert Essence one. I have used it for both face and hair. For face, it is an excellent gentle make-up remover and moisturizer after washing (doesn't make me break out, and I have acne!)
For hair I mix a little in with my conditioner for added shine and moisture. It works really well. You only need a FEW drops of this, a little definately goes a long way.
