Description: Shea nut butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory-colored natural fat extracted from fruit of the shea tree by crushing and boiling. It is a moisturizer and an emollient. African healers have used shea butter for thousands of years as the ideal treatment for dry or aging skin. Its high content of non-saponifiables and unique fatty acid profile gives it the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Shea butter also helps to protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration.

Pros: lightly scented, many uses, moisturizing, cone-free, vegan
Cons: none

I use refined shea butter from Manor Hall or from lesa on MUA.
For hair, this is my favorite leave-in, followed closely behind Manor Hall's Deep Condtioner. Shea is moisturizing without weighing down my hair or leaving it "stringy". The light scent mixes well with any conditioner I happen to be using. My hair is soft and shiny, and is *so* easy to brush in the morning. This keeps my ends from fighting with eachother during the night. I use about a teaspoon on my waist-length hair and I have no problem getting it to spread over my length. I use it both when my hair is wet, and when it is dry.
For skin this is the best moisturizer for me. Face, body, feet, hands, this is great for all over. It is not greasy, leaves no film, and sinks right into my skin.
I like having products that I can use for as many beautification rituals as possible to keep my countertop uncluttered. Shea is a big hit.
