"Description
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is a work by John Berendt and is atmospheric and Southern Gothic in tone, depicting a wide range of eccentric Savannah personalities.
The title alludes to the voodoo notion of "midnight"; the period between the time for good magic and the time for evil magic; in "the garden of good and evil," which refers principally to Bonaventure Cemetery.
These sticks are reminiscent of a garden at midnight, wrought in depthless blacks, deepest greens, and antiqued silver.
Built upon black lacquered wood, this pair is topped with a floral ring of wrought pewter that uplifts an orb of kambaba jasper. Capped with silver leaves and a smaller pewter floral ring, the stick gives rise to a coin of kambaba jasper, adorned with silver accents and crested by a silver leaf.
Kambaba Jasper is an exotic looking jasper from Africa. It is said to mystically soothe the nerves and state of mind. As with other jaspers, traditional lore says that it is good for grounding and protection. It is purported to be beneficial for plant growth and health, particularly in arid environments where the soil is poor.
This pair has a usable length of 5.25 inches and an overall length of 7 inches."

I couldn't afford the first set of these she listed, but she offered to make me a pair and list them for me to buy later. I'm so, so glad I agreed to this. The kambaba beads have the perfect balance of green and black. I love all the silver leaves. The sticks themselves are smooth and snag free. These are going to be hard to keep out of my hair!
