Pros:
easy to find, smell, light conditioning
Cons:
have to make it once a week

I use PetCo brand catnip. It has the buds and leaves, too.
I mix one TB with 2 cups water. Leave for several hours to seep, drain, refrigerate.
I use this after I shampoo as a soak, and rinse out. Some people have found they can leave-it in for moisturizing results as well, but it just makes my hair crunchy.
Some people don't like the smell, but I do. For some reason it really stays in my hair so I'm glad I like it.
I have also tried diulting my shampoo with this with good results.

Pros:
reduction of split ends
Cons:
smells odd when brewing
brew up a pot of catnip (has internal sieve to separate leaves) and allow to cool. after washing hair , i pour it over my head and don't rinse after and allow it to dry as per norm.
also is a gentle conditioner, leaving your hair feeling silky after.
has temporary odd smell when damp and when brewing but when it's dry you don't notice it at all.
dramatic change in number of split ends as in hardly any .
recommended for split end prone hair or for general hair protection.

Pros:

Good smell, brightens my hair color
Cons:

Time consuming

I grew my own catnip and so far I have only had leaves, so I've used that to make my tea. I leave it on for at least and hour then rinse it out. It seems to make my hair stronger and it also makes my hair a lot more red. I don't have many split ends, so I don't know how it affects that.

Cons:

This was my first time using catnip. I ordered some Sojos certified organic catnip and it came in a nice little tin that I can use later on if I want. I bought it to add to my cassia but I also use it as an occasional tea rinse. Although I didn't have a problem with split ends prior to this purchase, after using this product I hardly ever find any split ends.
