Pros: Great results with single use
Cons: A little pricey, and should come in a tub.

This is very thick, and comes in a tube. It has a light scent that I think of as "green". It is important to follow the directions and apply to wet hair. I use a generous amount in my wet hands, and apply to the ends first and then the canopy.

Though it works quite well pre-shampoo, I have also mixed it with conditioner for a more intense conditioning treatment post-shampoo. I have also tried it alone and tried to rinse out with just water, and realized it needs the shampoo step. When applied after the shampoo with conditioner, however, it rinses out easily.

It is also a very good leave in, provided you wet the hair first and apply with a very light touch. The ingredients are listed in the link.

Pros: Easy to find at most drugstores
Cons: Too thick, doesn't spread, stinks, tangle city

I tried this twice and hated it both times. It could quite possibly be my all-time least favorite product. I saw this at Walgreen's and recognized the brand name from LHC, so I bought it. To begin with, it smells like it looks, which is pretty awful. The stuff is thicker than toothpaste and won't spread in the hair at all. I had to warm it in the microwave just to make it usable. After deep conditioning with it on, I tried to rinse and experienced major tangles. The second time I tried it I did an SMT which didn't turn out much better. My hair hates this stuff.

Pros: good pomade, no unnecessary ingredients, excellent overnight treatment
Cons: super thick, main directions had bad results

I love the fact that this treatment has no unnecessary stuff in it, ingredients are:

glycerin, olive oil, oat kernel protein, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, lanolin, tocopherol, nettle leaf powder, rosemary powder, chlorophyll, fragrance.

It has a nice smell and works really well in tiny quantities as a leave in pomade.

However, the first time I used it I followed the instructions (wet hair, put on leave for 20 mins wash out) and my hair did not appreciate it, came out dull and flat and almost slightly sticky - it certainly tangled more than it normally does.

So the next time I used it I decided to use it as an overnight treatment. I put it onto dry hair - mainly on the lengths, then wrapped my hair round my head and wrapped it in a scarf. The next morning I washed and conditioned as normal. It came out lovely, really soft and silky (and also supper straight when I normally have a slight waves).

Using it like this the super thickness was a bonus as it didn't get messy whilst I slept but stayed exactly where I put it the night before, and didn't need a shower cap - which even under a scarf is not the way I like to look for my beloved.

I have dry, damaged, highlighted hair this definitely worked for me as an overnight treatment. I would definitely recommend this as an overnight treatment for people who want to calm their hair down and make it a bit straighter and silkier.
