I really like the smell of this shampoo, light and minty. I usually dilute my shampoo's and just about every time, this shampoo is in the shampoo mix. It cleans well, and I like the way it makes my hair feel.

I don't like this as much as my other shampoo, and I CO half the time, but when I use it it works. Sometimes it's frustrating as the dilution makes it hard to spread in my hair (and I'm using a squirt bottle with measuring lines!). But it does work, and it will last forever. A gallon of shampoo for 3 bucks plus the cost of the bottle is really not a bad deal at all. It also works well as a makeup brush cleaner, and multi-tasking products are good. It is kind of a pain to mix, though.
When I do my study abroad in Spain this summer, I'll be able to pack the empty squirt bottle and a 1 oz. bottle of the concentrate in my carry-on, saving the precious rest of the liquid allotment for contact solution and conditioner. (I'm not gonna risk not being able to find no-cones there, will probably end up checking condish just the same.)

The Doublemint gum scent can linger

QHMJ is a great inexpensive, non-stripping shampoo that has to be diluted for best results.
It has a minty smell which is not too overly strong, but can linger some.
It can be found at Sally Beauty Supply for around $3.00 and one bottle can make up to a "heavy" gallon but states it can be diluted up to two gallons.
Depending on dilution will greatly depend on results.
I noticed someone mentioning that it can be stripping, it *could* be possible if not diluted enough or used too often, like any other shampoo.
It actually states on the bottle that it does contain protein and will not strip tinted hair (I'm assuming this includes colored hair)?
So overall, I rate it a 9. It would have gotten a 10 if the scent wasn't quite as strong.
Ingredients:
Water, Cocomide DEA, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Chlorophyllin, D&C Yellow #10 & D&C Green #5.

It ain't love, but it ain't bad. I used this product for well over a year, because I felt like I should go sulfate-free. It didn't really have any major pros or cons. I liked the scalpfeel, and it removed coconut oil, but I also got a squeaky-clean (literally) feeling from it if I didn't have coconut oil.

My husband and I both use this shampoo. He uses it everyday and I use it once in a while (I mainly CO wash). I noticed big improvements in my husbands hair after he started using this shampoo. Previously he was using sulfate shampoos and his hair was thinning and he was going bald in some spots! I told him it's probably too hard on his hair to wash that way everyday and bought him some Hair One from Sallys. He started using that (it's a shampoo and conditioner in one and it's kinda pricey at that... it's supposed to be like WEN). Anyhow, after a bit of him using Hair One I noticed horrible build-up on his scalp... all white, flaking, bad! I checked the ingredients and found that Hair One contained a cone! So, I went back to Sally's and picked up a bottle of this Mint Julep. My husband loved the scent. I washed his hair for him and scratched and massaged the scalp with my nails. After washing his scalp looked very healthy... all the build up and such was gone. My husband has been using Mint Julep ever since and his hair is loving it!
I find it to be a good cleanser and I use it a couple of times per week.

I got tired of the shampoo really quickly. I couldn't find the right concentration to you. It did work well when I would clarify with it and baking soda. I was using cones
