I really like the smell of this shampoo, light and minty. I usually dilute my shampoo's and just about every time, this shampoo is in the shampoo mix. It cleans well, and I like the way it makes my hair feel.

|
Cons:

smell, has propylene glycol (for those who worry about that), color kind of funky looking

I don't like this as much as my other shampoo, and I CO half the time, but when I use it it works. Sometimes it's frustrating as the dilution makes it hard to spread in my hair (and I'm using a squirt bottle with measuring lines!). But it does work, and it will last forever. A gallon of shampoo for 3 bucks plus the cost of the bottle is really not a bad deal at all. It also works well as a makeup brush cleaner, and multi-tasking products are good. It is kind of a pain to mix, though.
When I do my study abroad in Spain this summer, I'll be able to pack the empty squirt bottle and a 1 oz. bottle of the concentrate in my carry-on, saving the precious rest of the liquid allotment for contact solution and conditioner. (I'm not gonna risk not being able to find no-cones there, will probably end up checking condish just the same.)

I love the smell of this shampoo. It took me back.
I remember going to the beauty shop either as a child
or a teenager and smelling this same shampoo.
I like that it doesn't have a lot of lather. It's very easy to
rinse out.
It also gives my hair a lot of fullness and body.
It feels clean without feeling stripped.
I follow up with Giovanni Direct Leave In and my hair
has never felt softer, thicker or fuller.
It just feels wonderful!
I have discovered my "Holy Grail" of products.
Thanks to everyone here on LHC who has recommended
this shampoo.
I would never have discovered it without you!

The Doublemint gum scent can linger
|

QHMJ is a great inexpensive, non-stripping shampoo that has to be diluted for best results.
It has a minty smell which is not too overly strong, but can linger some.
It can be found at Sally Beauty Supply for around $3.00 and one bottle can make up to a "heavy" gallon but states it can be diluted up to two gallons.
Depending on dilution will greatly depend on results.
I noticed someone mentioning that it can be stripping, it *could* be possible if not diluted enough or used too often, like any other shampoo.
It actually states on the bottle that it does contain protein and will not strip tinted hair (I'm assuming this includes colored hair)?
So overall, I rate it a 9. It would have gotten a 10 if the scent wasn't quite as strong.
Ingredients:
Water, Cocomide DEA, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Chlorophyllin, D&C Yellow #10 & D&C Green #5.
