Pros: Moisturizing, all-natural, unscented, readily available in health-food stores.
Cons: A tad expensive.

This is not exactly my HG, but I have been using it for about 2 years without bothering to look for anything else. In other words: I like it a lot, although it doesn't magically make my hair perfect. It's moisturizing and conditioning, but does still leave my hair with a bit of frizz that calms down the day after wash day (I wash 1-2 times per week). I like the fact that it's unscented: I add my own EOs (and even have a "winter" and a "summer" version). A nice, basic product that does your hair some good, and that you can feel safe and confident using.

Pros: Gives great shine, moisturizing
Cons: Not a ton of hold

I adore this stuff and use it nearly every wash - but always over another leave-in as it's fairly light and doesn't provide a ton of hold or moisture (which I need).

It makes my hair as shiny as cones used to!

Mostly 'natural' ingredients, no cones, nothing to dry your hair, and great for taming frizzies.

Pros: Natural, No cones, Incredible shine, Nice but light scent
Cons: Hold, Can be over moisturizing

Now bear in mind as your reading this i may alter this review down the line as ive only used this product about 5 times.

Now down to bussiness . The pros of this product as far as usage is that it is cone free so for people who cant use sulfates like me which makes rinsing easy even with just water though i normally CO. It also gives the most incredible shine! More than i ever got from cones back in the day which was remarkable to me. The shine lasted for days too even through wind and rain exposure. Beyond functionality the scent is nice very herbal almost woody though its probably not for everyone.

The cons are that if you have nearly striaght hair like me it wont make spirals for ya, but you will get lovely full bun/braid waves that dont go peicey on ya and will last all day and even throught the night which is saying something for me. I used to use mouse on the roots, gel on the length, then a curling iron, and finish with hairspray (can you tell this was special occasions only?) and that would only give me maybe 3 hours a curl before frizz set in and it went peicey on me. After that it was just limp stickiness so im thrilled to find a natural product that can at least give me beautful well behaved waves .

One other note, i noticed that if i used it after a good oiling (COed out of coarse) that it was a tad over moisturizing which led to peiceyness later in the day. It also made it had to run my fingers through which is not normally a problem.

Over all i do and have reccomended it . My coarse, natural heavy curled, salt & pepper aunt loved it!

Pros: smells good, safe for hair, doesn't leave residue, conditioning, natural
Cons: price, not really great for those that want a medium to strong hold

I didn't list a price because I got lucky ( meaning lucky as fa as someone who doesn't want to pay a lot to try a new product at full size) and was able to buy a travel size at my local natural foods store, it was about $3.50. I gave it a nine because it doesn't really have much of a hold, especially for something kind of pricey. I do like it though, because I use it to tame stray fuzz and frizz, and it definitely is great for this too when your wearing a braid. I like that it seems to add shine, even to hair that is looking pretty dull, and it makes my hair soft. It has a nice slippery texture, and this makes it a good detangler. I would recommend it to those who just need something to calm fly ways and as a decent gel for braids.

Pros: Natural ingredients
Cons: Too wet

Although I am generally a big fan of AO products, this was one I did not like. Instead of body and fullness, my hair had a wet feeling and was very heavy and flat even though I just used a tiny bit. I wouldn't recommend.
