This really is one of my favorite oils, but I give it an 8 because if people don't use it right, they may end up with greasy hair. Over time I learned the right amount. I usually use around two or three drops for my hair after I wash my hair and it dries. I use it as a leave in conditioner.
I do not use it on my scalp, because my scalp is oily. For deep treatments you might want to use more. I don't do deep treatments much anymore, but when I do, I use plenty of oil, so my hair feels greasy.
Deep treatments are trickier because this is a heavy oil, and if you get your hair too greasy, it may be hard to wash off. Depending on your hair, and your shampoo you might need one shampoo to get it off, or a few more. Sulfate shampoos get it off pretty easily.
Olive oil is very easy to find and cheap. You can find it in dollar stores, supermarkets, or even drugstores like Walgreens.
Some people's hairtypes cannot handle olive oil very well. Those with finer hair might find olive oil to be too heavy and greasy, and sometimes, people with coarse hair do not respond well to oils at all.

I rate this a seven because although it works good for scalp treatments, it is too heavy for me to use in my length. My hair prefers jojoba oil. The brand I use for cooking is DaVinci, and it is lightly scented, so depending on my conditoner it can clash with the smell. I am sure there are brands completely unscented, however.
The hot oil treatment I use is from Manor Hall, and they use EVOO in their mix. It is very nourishing for my scalp, but if I don't wash it all out, it makes my hair stringy.
I would not rec'md to those with F/i, F/ii, or M/i hair.

I love this mainly for heavy throw up my hair oilings.I use it once in a great while for regular oiling and even then I just use a drop. My DD hair really loves olive oil though for her curlys.

I dont use this as a all over oil but i do use it as a wash for my face mixed with brown sugar, it makes my skin so soft. I got recommended by shadow walker this product to use on my ends to get rid of some crunchiness i was getting, just dipped them in it and braided, the crunchiness went after the first go at this.
Its too heavy for my fine hair to use all over, but I would reccomend people try this and see how it works for them, there are a lot who swear by it, so if you dont try you never know, i suppose!
