People worrying about lightening--oy.

Inspired by Cinnamon hair, I use it in the same ways--as a leave-in (mixed with others because I have hard-to-deal-with hair), in deep treatments, etc, etc. I've had great success with it as a moisturizer, and it makes all the other products I use better. And I mean all of them.
Some people complain about residue from it, but I haven't had any. Also, I have dyed streaks in the front of my hair, and the honey hasn't touched them mixed in other things. I have done honey lightening to great effect on dyed and natural hair, so I know the reason for worry--but mixed with other stuff, the peroxide isn't released. But heck, I'd use it even if it did lighten, so whatever. xD

I love honey. I use it in multiple ways -- in my CO washes, deep conditioner, scalp, leave in, and even as a facial for my skin. It adds moisture to my hair and makes it shine, which is more than worth it considering the price/availability. I definitely recommend others to try it.

I worry about lightening, but haven't experienced any yet.

I got started on honey when I learned about SMTs. Pretty soon I was adding it to conditioner at every wash and occasionally adding a bit to my henna mixes, as well.
Lately I've started applying it straight: I wet my hair and apply cone-free conditioner roots to tips, then shampoo (SLS) scalp only and rinse. Then I apply pure honey to my length and leave it on for a bit. Finally, I apply more conditioner, work it through well, and rinse.
This seems to give my hair plenty of moisture, and it also leaves a lovely shine. Wonderful stuff!!!

I am a big honey nut (as well as other natural bee products, although those are much too pricey for hair). For my skin honey works wonders, for the hair I love using with conditioner for a deep treatment.
