From Mehandi.com:
This is a new crop from the western Punjab, from one my favorite growers and processors. It makes a wonderful red! The henna is absolutely pure and fresh, the dye content is great, lovely gray coverage, and the sift is fantastic so it rinses out of your hair easily. Longing for the prefect red? This may be the one for you! I got a great deal on this, so its the same price as BAQ ... but it's better henna! Except for samples, this henna comes in 100g packages.

After deciding to go red, I bought a few packs of Punjabi Prime, because Mehandi described it as giving the "perfect red." I am hoping to achieve a deep red color, as opposed to orange or burgundy. I've done two applications thus far, and I am pleased with the results. The oxidized color so far is still a little orange, but has become more red with each application.
The sift is fine, but I don't have anything to compare it to. It rinsed out quite easily. I first did a "mermaid soak" in the tub, which got out almost all of it. Then I did a CO in the shower. My hair was a little dry afterwards, but an SMT fixed the problem.
As for preparation, I used the lemon juice approach and let it slowly dye-release.

This is my favorite batch. I'm sad that it's getting old and they don't have a new crop of it. I guess every crop is different. It is a super fine sift, smells sweeter than other batches I've used. The price is good too, I think 500g lasted me about a year and a half of root touch-ups.
