Pros: Gentle, unscented, non stripping, okay for everyday use
Cons: A little hard to lather

This is my favorite shampoo. I wash my hair everyday using the CWC method, and this is one of the only shampoos I can use daily without ending up with stripped hair and a dry/irritated scalp. It's not exactly moisturizing, but it's so gentle that it doesn't strip everything down to the bone, so to speak. I can get by with a blob a little larger than a nickle for washing just my scalp/roots.

I use this to wash my length or ends as well if they feel a little producty. I don't think it would remove silicone build up (I don't use silicones, so have never tried), but for a day you have a little too much oil or a sticky conditioner, this can wash it away without turning your hair to straw. Also, I don't think this would work well as a clarifying shampoo. It's such a non stripping formula that for major build up removal, you'll have to look elsewhere.

It's also one of the only products I've come across that is almost truly unscented. There's a very faint, kind of green note to the shampoo - it's hard to name, and hard to smell unless you put it right up to your nose. It's very light and fresh though, and not at all artificial.

It is a little hard to lather. What you get are lighter, smaller bubbles than most conventional cleansers. If you're used to product with a lot of foam, and equate foam with cleanliness, it might be a hard adjustment. Other than that, I have no qualms whatsoever.

Pros: Sulfate free, unscented
Cons: HARSH!, expensive, small amount in the bottle

I decided to try out sulfate free shampoos because they are supposed to be more gentle than "regular" shampoos with sulfates. Ummm... This was the HARSHEST shampoo I ever used!

I don't understand how this is for babies or supposed to be more gentle than a regular sulfate shampoo?

Initially, I used this full strength. But after my hair felt like I had washed it with dishwashing liquid, I decided to dilute it. I put about 1 tsp into an 8oz bottle and filled the rest up with water. I pre conditioned my hair as I tend to CWC. Even with these precautions my hair still felt rough and stripped of all things good. It wasn't even squeeky clean. It was rough. Like it was washed with a sand blaster.

I don't get it?

I've used it several times in even further diluted amounts. It seems to have that effect in my hair unless it is so diluted that it doesn't clean at all. There doesn't seem to be an in-between where it cleans effectively without stripping.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and don't know what to do with the bottle I have. I've gone back to a shampoo that works well without stripping - by Tresemme and full of sulfates.
