Yangu Oil (Calodendrum Capense)
"The oil comes from the Cape Chestnut tree, the Cape Chestnut oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the fruit. The oil is used in skin and hair care products due to its high essential fatty acid and antioxidant content. It is often recommended for UV protection. Cape Chestnut oil is high in palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids."
Can be used for hair conditioning purposes, but also: facial creams and lotions, soap, sun care products, massage oils and balms.
Fresh Nutty bark smell that does not linger.

I use this after I've scrunches in my leave-in conditioner to sopping wet hair. I squeeze out the excess water a little and then rub quite a few drops between my palms and apply to the lower half of my length. I usually do it twice, once on each side of my head. Then I pop my hair in my hair turban. After that I apply a tiny amount of shea butter to my ends.
Since doing this routine my length feels softer for longer between washes. If necessary I use it inbetween washes too, on misted hair. It absorbs well and doesn't leave residue. It seems to lock in moisture pretty good. I am very pleased with the results! A definite recommendation.
I look forward to using it in summer for added sun protection.
