I've never used the original Henna 'n' Placenta, but I really like this super strength formula! It's thick and creamy and smells kind of fruity. I use it occasionally in an SMT, and it makes for a really rich and creamy one. I'd say it works even better than Ion Effective Care Treatment, too.
This probably is something you'd want to stay away from if your hair hates protein, because it's loaded with it.
The downsides are that I don't think it comes in bottle form, only in packets, so it can be expensive. It's also not vegan, as it contains animal placenta, which is kind of gross at first, but it really is a great product.
