Pros: effective protien-rich conditioner, inexpensive, easy to find
Cons: Containes parabens, stronger fragrence smell

Henna n' Placenta has been around forever, and is great both as an everyday conditioner for those with protein deficient hair, and also as a great deep-treatment when left on longer. Easy to find and use, it helps to restore protein and strength to damaged hair.

I knocked it down to a 9 for the parabens and for what I consider to be a bit heavy on the perfume.

Pros:
Cons:

I didn't post a rating, not fair to the product or those who might benefit from it. But for me, with protein hating hair, this was a disaster, extremely dry brittle hair.

Pros: really conditions my hair
Cons: non that I can think of

I really liked this product since the first time I used it. I find it works best when kept on longer then 10mintues. I generally keep it on for 30mins to a few hrs. After I clarify and cone free condish this is what i use to really give my hair its moisture back and it works every time.

Pros: none for me, but for those with dyed hair which is dry could be beneficial
Cons: made my hair dry

I have given this a 5 as for me this product was a disaster, my hair went like straw with it, but that is a rather biased view as it would be good for those needing a little more protein in their hair.

I ordered mine from amazon and at a cost of roughly £5 I thought this was expensive but then I am from the Uk and this product is American so that needs to be taken into consideration. Although it did make my hair like straw, a deep condition did bring it back to its normal self, so no harm done!

Overall anybody with virgin hair I would say no you don not need this, but for those of you will naturally dry or hair damaged through dye/bleach etc I would say give it a go.

Pros: Seems to strengthen hair/anti-snap
Cons: Strong perfumed scent, fact that it has animal ingredient

I have used this on myself and, more recently, on E (DBF/practically fiance). I tend to reach for this product when I notice that my hair is having more breakage than normal. On E's hair (I would say he is a 3b/C/iii) it works wonders. I let it sit with a cap (and preferably heating pad) for 10-30 minutes and then rinse. It seems to take his hair from dull-looking to having a nice "sheen." Also, meant to mention that I use the "super strength" version of this product which is light orange rather than white. I have tried the regular one before and prefer the "super strength." Note also that the price I paid was for the larger 8oz bottle rather than for the 2oz packet.

Pros: Rich conditioning treatment, leaves hair very soft.
Cons: I don't like to THINK of the ingredients.

This is a wonderful deep treatment. I've used this under a shower cap and heat cap.

It leaves my hair soft, shiny and completely without frizz.

I just don't really like the smell and I really don't like the price.

Note: I wanted to add that I used this when my hair was in horrible shape from chemical coloring. It was very effective then, when the hair cuticle was so frayed.

Pros: deep conditioning, protein, helps strengthen hair
Cons:

I liked this treatment just as well as other protein/deep treatments I've tried. It left my hair soft and manageable and smooth too. I used it after showering and applied it to my damp hair. I then used a heat cap and left it in for over an hour. Then I rinsed it out in the shower. My hair air dried into a beautiful straight, sleek, moisturized style

Pros: Can use it on my protein-hating hair, softness, etc.
Cons: Parabens (which worry me), common size

It's pretty good for me. It's hard to find protein that my hair can handle on a consistent basis--it doesn't exactly HATE protien, it's just very finicky with it.

I dislike that the most commonly found size is a one-treatment only, but I did find bigger bottles at Sally's which were more economical for me. I use and have used the normal forumla and the extra strength for damaged hair one, and I prefer the latter. Good stuff though.

Also, no, it won't change your hair color. It says it on the bottle, but in case you were still worrying, it doesn't. xD;

Pros: easy to use
Cons: the smell

my hair has been a mess lately and i figured i needed protein so i bought this pack. My first thought was eww placenta but i got over it and tried it. The smell is disgusting i got a floral scent, not my cup of tea. so I wet my hair and put it on and waited as long as I could then I rinsed. I didn't want to do a moisture treatment because i wanted to see the result. my hair was nice and smooth after the shower and when still damp I night braided, but my tassel feels a lot smoother than it has.

Pros: Very Cheap, Easy to Rinse Out, Easy to Apply
Cons: Left Hair a Little Funky, Left Hair Dry & Not So Dry At the Same Time?

Okay, the smell didn't bother me as bad as I thought it would, since it had animal protein I really thought it would smell, well "meaty". It isn't a bad product, especially for the price. It did something weird to my hair, it made it dry and moisterized at the same time. To be fair, I didn't use a hot towel or a blow dryer like it directed. I used it longer than 10 minutes, more like 20. It did make my hair very soft, and shiny, is by far alot better then some more expensive conditioners/treatments. And it rinsed out easily, I didn't have to keep rinsing, and it doesn't feel like it left buildup. I can't tell yet if it made my hair stronger, but I think it did help. I would probably use it again, but maybe as a every-few-months-or-so, treatment. I think people who do well with protein treatments would benefit well from this product.

Pros: moisturizing, strengthening
Cons: overwhelming smell

The thing to remember about this product is not to use it too often. The first time I use it, my results are always fantastic- smooth, shiny hair, no tangles, and full of body. If I use it again, say a week or a few weeks later, it's like putting water in my hair, and I feel no difference. I think to achieve the maximum benefits from this product, you need to use it every few months as a deep treatment, but find another product for more frequent deep conditioning and strengthening.
