Pros: Contains organic oils, many natural ingredients, pleasant scent, very affordable, large sized bottle, silicone free, provides lots of slip.
Cons: Contains parabens, can only be found at Trader Joe's stores.

This conditioner is found at Trader Joe's stores, and costs $2.49 for 16.9 ounces.

I had heard many great things about Trader Joe's conditioners, so I was anxious to try them! I eventually found a Trader Joe's store (there are five in the city where I live, however most of them are in farther out areas), and purchased this conditioner and also Trader Joe's Citrus Refresh conditioner (which I haven't used enough yet to review).

This conditioner is of nice thickness, but quickly "disappears" or absorbs into your hair when applied. This could be good or bad depending on your preference; it's not actually a preference of mine, but I can't deny the slip and hair-happiness that this provides! However, if you have especially thick or coarse hair, it may not work as well for you. This conditioner, I believe, is intended more for fine hair. I only need a small amount of this conditioner to get good conditioning, however it took me a few uses to realize this, as no matter how much I have applied, it will all disappear into my hair!

For me, the amount of slip it gives is incredible! Detangling is a snap with this conditioner, tangles fall right out. It is also very light when applied, which is good for me as I have fine hair. Rinsing doesn't take very long, and I've never had an issue with doing a very short rinse and getting out of the shower-- this has not weighed down my hair. It gives nice shine, and makes hair smooth, shiny and light.

This conditioner does contain soy protein, and also contains parabens. The scent is pleasant, but nothing special. It's not a strong fragrance, but is herbal and faintly creamy and slightly powdery, to my nose. It does not linger after hair is dry. I sometimes mix it with another conditioner (VO5 pomegranate grapeseed is a frequent mixer) to add a bit more *pop* to the fragrance, but it's definitely not necessary, in terms of conditioning.

It's been mentioned to me that this conditioner is very similar to Giovanni's Smooth as Silk conditioner, and the ingredients list is very similar, although NOT identical-- some of the botanical oils are different, and the Giovanni version does not contain parabens. If you are interested in trying the Giovanni line, and live near a Trader Joe's, you might want to try this first, as it's about 1/6th of the price (Giovanni is about $8 for 8.5 ounces).

I will definitely be repurchasing this conditioner when I run out (though that will take a while!), which is something I can rarely say about conditioners. This provides the most slip of any cone-free conditioner I've ever tried, and it leaves my hair looking and feeling marvelous. I'd recommend this to anyone here, but especially for fine-hairs on a small budget-- it's a fantastic deal for the money, as is often the case with "Trader Joes's" brand.

Pros: no cones, good slip, doesn't have strong smell, cheap
Cons: parabens, only available at trader joe's

I bought this to replace my bottle of the TJ's citrus shampoo.
They're both significantly different products - I like how well this one works in small amounts without gunking up my hair in the process. I haven't tried it as a leave-in or in an SMT yet, and I'm hoping it would work as well as the citrus for those purposes.

It does smell almost exactly like my Giovanni Direct Leave-in (which I use after almost every washing), which I like because there are fewer competing smells in my hair.

For the record, my hair is fine but thick and mid-back length and a blob the size of a large grape is enough. I've used conditioners where that was definitely not the case.

Pros: Great all-purpose conditioner to use for CO washing too, low price, nice subtle fragrance
Cons:

Though I use a couple other conditioners (Biolage Conditioning Balm or AO Honeysuckle Rose) as my preferred "thicker, moisturizing" conditioners after a shampoo or as the second conditioner in a CWC, this one would also serve well in that purpose.

Where it really shines for me is CO washing with this conditioner, with the conditioner diluted (about 1:4 conditioner:water). It "suds" up surprisingly well, and my hair feels clean, soft, and silky afterwards.

The price is wonderful, and the fragrance is very subtle and pleasant enough. So many conditioners I've tried (VO5 and Suave) have such strong fragrances that it's nice to take a break from that.

Pros:
Cons:

FINALLY!!!!!!!!

I found my HG conditioner!!!!!!!!

I used to have the most beautiful waist-length golden blonde hair. Unfortunately, because of stress, it started changing texture (from thick and smooth into brittle frizzy cotton candy texture) and breaking off in chunks. I was eventually forced to chop it off at chin length, but even then it continued to break off. I've spend the last few years trying to get it to stop breaking so it can start growing my hair back.

I've tried everything. EVERYTHING: drugstore, high end salon brands, natural stuff, essential oils, even a horrible green mask that left my hair smelling like garlic for over a week. Biolage, k-pak, purology nanoworks, tigi, redkin, etc etc etc. None of them did much of anything. I used ShiKai for a while, which finally gave me very positive effects and made my hair stop breaking and I've been able to grow it to just past shoulder length so far, but after a while my hair started feeling dry and brittle again.

I've recently found that my hair likes silicone free products so I decided to try Trader Joe's Nourish conditioner. WOW!!!!!! I can't believe how soft and touchable my hair is! The ends don't look parched! It doesn't break off at the slightest tug!!! I was tempted to review it after the first time using it, but I like to wait a few weeks before I review anything. Several weeks later, this is still as wonderful as it was the first time I used it.

I use it in conjunction with the matching shampoo, which is also wonderful (and free of harsh detergents btw). It's white coloured, thick and creamy without being heavy. It smells like heaven! I don't usually care for fruity scents, but this is so light and pleasant and refreshing. It's rather melon-scented with a touch of green and an aquatic finish (i know that sounds a little weird, but i could seriously sit around and just smell this stuff).

It provides a wonderful slip, especially considering it's silicone free. It has plenty of wonderful natural ingredients and leaves my hair looking and feeling moisturized, soft, bouncy, and shiny. my SO can't stop touching it and neither can I. I haven't had touchable soft shiny hair for years.

I have a lot of hair so it feels thick, but actually the strands themselves are medium-fine and I'm amazed at how this conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down in the least.

I only wish TJ's made a deep conditioning treatment for this line, and maybe a leave in spray as well.

I use a touch of coconut oil on the ends if I need an extra touch of moisture (also a miracle product). I will continue to use this and update if there are any changes.

plus, it's only $3 a bottle!!!!!!! Definitely a refreshing change from the $50 a bottle for nanoworks.

I'm on my third bottle now and still love it as much as I did day one.

Pros: inexpensive, mild scent, light, doesn't cause buildup, provides good slip
Cons: None

TJ's Nourish Conditioner is a fantastic value. My daughter uses it after shampooing and I have used it for CO washing. It's got a very light but pleasant clean scent. It makes the comb glide through my hair so easily, and provides plenty of slip after the hair dries, too. The quality is very good, and especially considering it's $2.49.

Pros: inexpensive, gentle
Cons:

This is going to sound a little funny, but I use this shampoo and conditioner not for me but for my dog (German Shepherd). She use to get this terrible itch as a puppy and I guess that's common around here. I got over the expensive dog shampoos after awhile since they weren't working and started giving her cheap people products like Trader Joe's bottles. Her skin is happy now and her coat is noticeably beautiful (people comment more on her hair than mine everywhere we go).

Pros: good price, cone free, mild, light, helps the damaged hair, doesn't build up
Cons: I find I have to use a lot

There is really nothing wrong with this product other than the fact that it doesn't last long. I go through it really fast because the damaged ends soak this stuff up. Otherwise, it is near perfect. No complaints. Smells great, but not too strong. Doesn't build up. Buy it.

Pros: Price
Cons: Many, many tangles

This Conditioner is very thick, but did not leave my hair moisturized. I had a ton of tangles after using.

Pros: thick, soft scent, provides slip, moisturizing, cheap (in stores only)
Cons: expensive online

Love this conditioner! Its thick and it moisturizes my hair. The only drawback is that if I want to buy it off Amazon, it costs > $10. So I have to drive to Trader Joe's (which is always crowded) and stock up every couple of months
