*very* moisturizing, cg friendly, protein free, locally available

none for me

I read about this product over at nc.com and decided to try it. I started it at about the same time I was starting out with the Kinky-Curly line. I was looking for a rich, thick conditioner that is cone and protein free.
Voila, sucess!
This stuff is awesome. I have dry, coarse curls that can't get anough moisture. This conditioner keeps my hair hydrated and my curls boingy.
Appearance: Very thick, dense pearlescent white cream. This could almost be put into a tub as it is almost too thick to get out of the bottle.
Scent: Very strong honeysuckle scent that lingers into the next day for me. I love this scent, but others may not. For those who are fragrance sensitive, this scent is qutie strong.
This conditioner is so thick that it does not have a lot of slip for me. This is OK as I use a detangler first. I use this as my main hydrating conditioner. I leave it in my hair as I shower. This gives me the closest thing to silky hair that my "c" hair can get. It rinses out easily for me.
I have not gotten buildup, but I have read of a few others who have. Those with fine hair or those who have hair that does not like a lot of oils should take note. I have seen fine hairs love it and fine hairs hate it. Very much YMMV.
On the plus side, I can get this item at my local food co-op. Aubrey is available at my local Whole Foods, but not this specific conditioner, although they will special order. Aubrey also has a store locator on their website. I paid $11.00.
I love, love, love this conditioner. Nothing moisturizes like it for me.

For Dry, Brittle Hair
My review: Like the previous reviewer stated, this is *very* thick, and difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. It is very moisturizing yet my fine hair doesn't get weighed down.
I'm not sure if this has caused buildup or if it's just my hard water building up on my hair.
I really love the scent of this, it's a perfect balance of honeysuckle and rose. I usually don't do too well with floral scents, but this is one of my faves.
This was not available at my "local" Whole Paycheck erm Foods when I was looking to purchase it, so I had to order it online.

This is a great moisturizing conditioner that imparts a lot of fantastic softness and strength to my hair without being too heavy or weighing it down. It would be a perfect conditioner for me were it not for three things, it's only failings:
1. While it is not necessary to use a huge amount of it with each conditioning, the price is still on the high side.
2. The smell was extremely offensive to me at first and although I have now learned to deal with it in light of the other great qualities of this conditioner, it still bothers me.
3. It's not that the detangling is bad, and in fact it is quite good, but I have a few other conditioners that do a much better job. I often use one of them first to detangle if my hair is particularly knotted and then follow up with this conditioner.

Pros:

excellent conditioning, promotes shine

|
Cons:

I love the degree of conditioning this product provides. It is always super soft afterwards, in addition to being very shiny. I adore the scent and it does linger a bit the next day. This product does not include cones or protein which is good for my hair because it doesn't like protein. I do not have any build up (but perhaps this is because I use an ACV rinse every couple of weeks due to our hard water).
The only thing I do not like is that it is VERY thick, I'd equate it with cream cheese in its consistency. Therefore, I find it useful to have a travel size empty bottle that I place a bit of water in during the shower and squirt the conditioner into it and shake vigorously and apply the watered down version to my hair for ease of use. For me though, its worth the small extra effort because this is the best conditioner out there, in my opinion.
Although 12.00 a bottle is a little pricey (I find this product at Whole Paycheck) its lasts a very long time, because of the fact that I add water.

I love this conditioner it is really thick and moisturizing. It seems to be very curl enhancing for my hair. It doesnt weigh my hair down even though I have very fine hair. I also use this as a leave in on my ends for extra moisture. The smell doesnt seem to linger in my hair at all. I dont mind the smell but it does have an old fashion smell to me. I would of gave it a 10 if I could purchase it locally.

Thick, rich, and moisturizing for when your hair needs it
|
|
Cons:
|
Packaging, scent is STRONG (good if you like it, not good if you don't)
|
|
I love this conditioner when my hair needs moisture. It is super-moisturizing. It has no protein. It has less slip than some other conditioners, too. But it moisturizes really well. My hair feels soft after using it. It doesn't feel coated at all, and I have not had any problems with build-up.
It has a heavy floral-girly scent, so smell first if you are scent-sensitive or particular about florals. As others have mentioned, the product is very thick and can be hard to get out of the bottle. It is concentrated; a little goes a long way. So while it's pricey, it is effective when used sparingly, and then it lasts a lot longer than the thinner conditioners.
