Pros: Tub lasts a long time. Nice hold, great moisture
Cons: learning curve in using product, can be crunchy, online purchase

I use this product as a styling gel to define and hold curls and for frizz prevention.

Appearance: Clearish gel, texture is part sticky, part snot.

Scent: Moderate strong vanilla/cake type scent that does not linger long on me.

Performance: Awesome stuff. Love it. I scrunch this in on top of my leave-in conditioner. I can see the curls pop right away. Appplied differently, it can also be used for curl elongation, so it is a versatile product. I get good hold, great definition, and even a bit of sheen/shine on the curls. Used with Knot Today, it does seem to help retain moisture throughout the day. I also notice less end-of-day frizz.

The biggest downside to this is that there seems to be a learning curve when people start using this product. Some have a hard time, and it seems to be a love it or hate it product. It also seems to be finicky about what it is used over, with some saying that it does not work as well if used over an oil heavy product.

I have been lucky enough to have great luck with this.

This product has the potential to work well for 3B and up. I have seen some 3A folks getting good use of it, but not enough for me to say much else.

I bought this product from CurlMart. It can also be bought on the Kinky-Curly website, where they also have a store locator.

I paid $32.50; $25.00 for the product and $7.50 for shipping.

While it sounds expensive, a tub lasts a long time. I started using this in July 2007. It is March 2008, and I am on my second tub - and this is counting in the fact that I sent a curly a 20% full tub as a sample.

I will most definitely repurchase.
