Pros: ingredients, cone-free, vegan, paraben free
Cons: price, packaging,

I rate this a 7 for "con" reasons above and also because this left my hair crunchy and stringy (maybe I applied to much?).
It is very light. I applied this both wet and dry and my hair did not like it either way. Very lightly scented. I swapped this away on MUA.

I do not like the triangle bottles, although many people do. I have to keep them upside-down in the shower to get the product out and as we all know, gravity isn't keen on that.

Pros: light, leaves hair very soft and manageable
Cons: packaging

I tried this leave-in when I joined LHC last September (someone on here mentioned it). Impressed with everything except the packaging. Very light, leaves hair manageable without weighing it down. Even with the occasional blow frying, my hair still feels soft and lovely. Unless someone recommends something unbelievably spectacular to take its place, I doubt I will use a different leave-in again.

Pros: slip, moisturizing, lasts a long time, doesn't have strong smell, no-cones
Cons: packaging, price, easy to overdo it, doesn't work on dry hair

This is the best leave-in I've tried, but I'd love it so much more if it came in a better package.
I didn't like it at first, but that's because I was using way too much of it. This leave-in works a lot better in smaller amounts, in larger amounts it can make hair crunchy and dry feeling. Also doesn't work on dry hair, which is another disadvantage. It works great on soaking wet hair, though.

Pros: all natural, cone free leave in,available more widely than other organic haircare products
Cons: price

I'm cheap so if I have to pay more than 3 bucks on hair care products,it better be good.I bought this just yesterday and even though the directions recommend putting it on wet hair,I applied it to my DD1 hair.I woke up with my hair being straighter and fuller, without needing a blowdryer to pull it off.

Pros: just all-around the best leave-in I've found
Cons: goofy inefficient bottle

I've been using this for over a year and am still using that 1st bottle....I use it often, but a little of this goes a long way. A pea-sized amount works best. Makes my curls boingy and well-moisturized. For me it seems to function almost like a styling product, a curl cream, I guess.

Pros: Moisturizing, vegan, organic
Cons: pricey!

I put a ? mark in the price so it doesn't affect the overall price because I paid $1.99 at Whole Foods for a sample size of this.
It's hands-down the most effective cone-free leave in I have ever tried. Period. It's very moisturizing, and helps detangle about as well as any other cone-free anything I've ever found. I would buy stock in it if "as well as any other cone-free product" came anywhere near a mediocre coney product for me.

Pros: Very light, easy to distribute on hair, long-lasting effect
Cons: the price

This product works great on my fine, 2c/3a hair. It is moisturizing, and even works as a styling cream/scrunching cream. Leaves my curls soft and well-shaped.
A little goes a long way, works best on soaking wet hair!

Pros: lightweight, smells nice, detangles
Cons: does NOT prevent breakage as indicated on bottle

I bought this about a week ago. I have used it every day, in hopes that it would prevent breakage. Unfortunately, it has not. However, my hair is a special case (special in a BAD way), and I think most women don't have as SEVERE a problem with breakage as I do. So, for a regular leave in mostly used for detangling, I would recommend this for the average woman. I hate my hair.

Pros: organic/natural, healthy ingredients, slip, detangling, helps my hair appear smoother and shiner
Cons: I could take or leave the smell, packaging

I ordered a three pack of this off Amazon.com and have used it for the past couple weeks. I like the way it feels on my hair. I use it as intended, as a leave-in. It makes combing though my hair wet so much easier. My hair seems to dry calmer with less frizz than air drying without any products. All I can say is Giovanni wows me again! I am finding that I LOVE their product line. The only CONS I can think of are that the smell isn't anything special to me. I could take or leave it. I would much prefer it if the Direct Leave-In had the smell of the Giovanni TTTT conditioner or the Smoothing conditioner.

Pros: cone-free, light, lasts a long time
Cons: nothing I can think of

I love this product.

I found it didn't work well for me as directed, I found it hard to work such a small amount through my hair evenly, and the mechanical handling needed to do this while wet caused breakage. So I put a bloob in an old spray bottle with water and now I love it. I wash my hair and when it's near dry I spray it all over and smooth it down my hair. Helps with flyaways and is not weighed down at all.

I use it every day usually even on non-wash days and it helps with styling a lot.

it may seem expensive but (especially when used the way I described) it lasts for-freakin'-ever

Pros: slip, moisture
Cons: a bit heavy, bottle shape

I recently went back to using this product after a year of using a different leave-in. It does it's job well, but it is a bit heavy, so use sparingly. I also hate how these bottles are shaped. It is so hard to get all of it out.

Pros: Worked (sometimes)
Cons: Protein heavy--too much so for my hair.

Sadly, this stuff doesn't work for me. If your hair has issues taking protein in large amounts, you're better off avoiding the Direct Leave-in. It made my hair dry and frizzy, no matter how much I used.

Sometimes, it would be okay, but not often enough to be consistent. Others seem to be fine using it, but I can't.

Pros: Scent, consistency, slippy
Cons: Stupid bottle!

This stuff felt nice in my hands, and when distributing it through, but once my hair was dry, it was just blech. Dull and unhappy hair. I think a lot of it had to do with the protein content, but even if I waited to use it until "protein treatment time" I got pretty mediocre results. If your hair is finer, it might do better with this, though.

The bottle is also annoying. Stupid square shape! It's awkward as the bottle gets lower.

Pros: cone free, moisturizes, natural
Cons: not enough slip

For my 2a/F hair this has worked great for the last year.

My only real complaint is that the slip is not great and my hair never really feels silky and luxurious.

But it is the one I've kept coming back to again and again as my safe haven, while looking for my HG.

Pros: make my hair feel wonderful
Cons: bottle

This stuff is wonderful for my hair. I can use it on wet or dry hair and the bottle is going to last forever since you only need a small amount.
