Description: This Handmade Ox horn comb features a natural dark color in Fish Shape and a travel size to allow for conveinent carry in purse or handbag.

Renowned for their anti-static and hair beautifying properties, Ox horn Combs have been used for centuries in South and East Asia as a method of keeping hair healthy and beautiful.

* Better than plastic combs since ox horn is made of Keratin, the same material as human hair, allowing the comb to glide effortlessly through, avoiding paindful snags.
* Due to less friction than normal combs, you avoid drying out hair and damaging static build ups that cause split ends.
* Ox horn combs distribute hair nourishing natural oils, leading to healthier shinier hair.
* Can be used to smooth out tangled and matted hair more easily than conventional combs
* Like other high quality combs, these are made and polished by hand since ox horn would deform if shaped by high temperature machinery.

In Asia, these combs are expensive and highly valued due to rarity of material and the belief that they help to increase blood circulation in the scalp keeping hair healthier longer.

Technical Details:

Pros: Cute shape, nice size for scritching, inexpensive
Cons: Pointy teeth, hair sometimes gets caught in the notch in the back

I bought this because I wanted a small horn comb for scritching and I really like the fish shapes I've seen. It's 5.99 on the site, but I paid $7 for postage to canada so overall I paid $12.99 USD

Pros:
- it's cute!
- it's well made
- inexpensive

Cons:
- I found the teeth too sharp for scritching and had to sand them down
- The notch in the back is a nice design touch, but I've gotten my hair caught in there a couple times.

Overall, I think this comb is ok. It's less scratchy after sanding the tines. Although if I compare it to my Mason Pearson C2 which I used before for scritching, it doesn't feel as smooth on my scalp. It's not sharp or rough, it just feels not as smooth.

Edit: Changed my recommendation to no. I feel that I shouldn't have to do any sanding to make the comb usable.
