Description: I'm going to start off by saying this particular oil is amazing but I can't stand the smell of it.It reminds me of pinesol but I haven't had any complaints yet. When my youngest son was a few weeks old,I diluted the oil highly and added it to his bath water. It cleared up a rash that he had and cradle cap within two baths using the oil. There is a thread on TBB raving about the many uses of Tea Tree.If you can get over the strong woodsy piney smell, get this oil just to have around. It is great for first aid kits IMO.

From the website:
Tea Tree is an anti-fungal healing oil and is the essential oil steam distilled from the Australian plant Melaleucan alternifolia. Tea tree oil works for sinus relief, sore throats, chest-colds, topical antiseptics for skin injuries, rubs for arthritis and inhalants for asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory conditions.

I paid 6.40 for 2oz.I admit, this oil can go really quick since its so widely used around the house.

Pros: cheap, many uses, easy to find
Cons: smell?

I use either Jason brand or desert essence from Trader Joe's.

I use this for EVERYTHING. Hair, skin/acne, rashes, etc. I use it to give the dog a bath, I use it on my deoderant stick...

I use it 100% or diluted on my face. I use it in an herbal scalp rinse. I would never be without this stuff. I also use Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle shampoo, which contains TTO.

Some people don't like the smell, but I like it.

Pros: worked for my dog
Cons: didn't help for dandruff

I bought this product because I was so desperate since my daughter had a really bad case of dandruff and nothing seemed to help.I took her to the Dr.and that didn't help. I was pretty upset that I paid $5.00 for such a small bottle so I started bathing my dog with it and helped his itchy skin.No more hot spots and at least he got to enjoy the benefits.

Pros: scent, effectiveness
Cons: none for me

I've used NOW organic tea tree oil and Desert Essence (from Trader Joe's) and I love it! I've used it to calm itchy skin by mixing a few drops with my daily (unscented) body lotion. I've used it with a q-tip for a zit spot treatment and it helps heal broken skin faster. I've put a few drops in my shampoo (back before starting CO-washing) to make my scalp tingle. Presently, I mix 1 drop of jojoba oil and 2 drop TTO and apply to my whole face before bed every other night. Also, I've recently started using Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil soap to wash my face and it's wonderful, too. I just love the scent and the way my skin tingles after applying.
