Description: The Surya Henna line of products for colouring and treating hair, includes Surya Henna Powder which is a 100% plant product.

Surya Brasil products are unique because they are based on the science of Ayurveda and include the use of herbs and fruits from Amazonia (Brazil) and India.

Surya Henna Powder is available in eight different shades that provide different hues of red, copper and gold, plus two hair treatments, black and neutral, that do not colour.

Pros: natural hair coloring, natural looking colors, pure herbal blend, no worries about getting the "wrong color" result, price
Cons: not all colors readily available in drugstores/supermarkets, so I must order online sometimes

It's just a henna plus other herbs blend that provide hair color (usually just cassia, indigo and amla). It's the most known pre-mixed henna here in Brazil, very trustworthy product for us brazilians. I wouldn't post a review about a brazilian product since I know most here are from northern countries, but I see this one pop up every now and then on forums. Some people are scared of it (I don't know), well you don't need to be, they are just herbs (unless you have henna/herbs allergies of course, which doesn't happen with just PPD dyes!).

This review is just about the powder (not cream), since the cream does contain some other less natural things (doesn't contain parabens, peroxide, ammonia, heavy metals, PPD or resorcinol though). On a side note, I think the cream is much better/easier on the hair (henna is awfully drying for some), it really does acts like a deep moisturizing treatment, it's easier to apply, smells better (yadda yadda). Feel free to drop me a PM if you want details. =)
