Pros: no cones (?), applicator bottle, price, makes hair sleek & shiny and it lasts
Cons: animal testing

The Jazzing I am reviewing is "clear"
It's great for adding extra shine to your natural or colored hair. It comes in a variety of funky shades, too.

This gloss comes in a 3 fl oz bottle with a convenient applicator tip.

Directions:

Temporary or color-refresher: Process 5-10 minutes without heat, rinse and shampoo.

Semi-Permanent
: Cover hair with plastic cap. Process with heat up to 30 minutes, rinse, and shampoo. Heat is not recommended for freshly relaxed hair.

Honestly, I'm able to just wash my hair, skip the conditioner and just use this in its place. I skip the 2nd shampooing part, I just rinse it out.

I squeeze some in my hand and run it through my freshly washed hair, squeezing out more into my hand as I go. I don't bother with the hair closest to my scalp since my length needs more shine and conditioning than the newest growth. It doesn't matter if you miss spots since this is clear. I'll take a comb and comb the product through so it's evenly distributed throughout my hair. Then, I cover my hair with a shower cap and place a heat cap over it (I use Mastex brand) for approximately 30 minutes, then rinse.

The results: smooth, shiny hair that lasts!

It's an affordable product. The 3 fl oz bottle will run you about $6 at Sally Beauty Supply. The bottle can last several applications, although it's dependent upon how long and/or thick your hair is.

I have a bottle of one of the colored Jazzing's, and this one says it may contain trimethylsilylamodimethicone (whew!), which is 4th on the list. The ingredient list is much longer for the colored Jazzing than it is for the clear Jazzing. With ingredients like jojoba seed extract, aloe flower extract, vitamin E, hydrolyed wheat protein, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, glycerin, citric acid, panthenol.

How can the ingredients be so different?

Pros: gentle
Cons: fast fade, consistency

I use to use this in the 80s for fun to add a bit of bold color to my then blond hair, but at the same time not having to commit to the color permanently. It was good for that purpose. I tried using this product again a few years ago before I started hennaing to help blend in my greys without frying my hair, it worked OK for that purpose.
What I like about the product is that it is very gentle, did not dry out my hair and also added a good amount of shine. It also seemed to make my hair a bit thicker. It is pretty affordable and you can mix together colors to create a custom color for yourself very easily. It smells good too, unlike typical semi-perm colors it is not very chemical smelling, its scent more like a shampoo.
The things I didn't like was that it the tinted versions of this product did fade very quickly. After getting out of the shower with a damp head it leached on to my towels, T-shirts and even pillowcases if I happened to go bed with a damp head (even after three or four shampoos/two weeks later). By the time it stopped leaching the color was gone so the longest it ever lasted for me was three weeks. Keep in mind that I wash my hair about twice a week so that is to say that the color lasts 6-8 shampoos. The way I always applied it was the semi-perm method with a plastic cap and heat. I even tried to leave it on for a hour or longer which is much greater than the instructions suggested, but it did not help in reducing the fade .
The other thing that I didn't like was the consistency, it is rather thick and sticky sort of like putting pure honey on your hair, so in order not to damage my long hair I had to use a lot to get full coverage, because it was impossible for me to comb it through without yanking and/or breaking out massive amounts of hair, thereby creating damage.
It is a shame this product didn't work as well as I would have liked. I really liked the color and shine it gave me while it lasted, even if I did have to use 2 1/2 bottles every time.

Pros: Shine & non-damaging
Cons: *Very* short-lived color

I rated the product as a nine because it does what you expect (color + shine), but I felt it lasted less time than it should have. I used a dark mix of the deepest red + the deepest violet and it rinsed completely clean within two weeks (I only wash every few days, and at the time was only doing CO). On the plus side - *wow*. The color was freaking awesome and I actually received compliments. I used it over hennaed hair with *no* problems whatsoever. The shine was just to die for and I'm tempted to try it again even knowing the color won't last long.
