This is my favorite comb!
It is very smooth and does a great job of detangling.
I have had it for at least 6 years. It's still really cheap in TBS store. At this price can you afford not to try it?
I make sure I don't use it on my hair when it's wet since water could damage the comb.

Great comb for such a cheap price. I've had it for a year. Lightly varnished, therefore water resistant but not water proof. Mine has not cracked or broken for me-but I use oil and shea butter in my hair alot, which I think helps. DH has his own comb now because he kept stealing mine!
Small enough to carry in my bag.

I went to check this comb out after reading the reviews on here. I never brush my hair, but I was looking for a comb to do some detangling before bed. It's gentle, it fits well in my hand, and since I am environmentally conscious, I am glad to note that it's made from wood from well-managed forests. I plan on keeping this comb around forever, and if I ever lose it I will be sure to buy another.
However, I also don't use it on wet hair (bad for the hair, bad for the wood).

Such a wonderful item to have! This comb is very sturdy but still lightweight, helps tremendously with detangling, and helps distribute natural oils very effectively. The combination of quality and price are really just too good to pass up. When I get the chance, I will definitely buy a second comb to keep in my purse.

I love this comb and have had mine since joining the LHC. It is the best thing I have ever bought for my hair, it de-tangles really well and has no rough areas. The comb it self is small enough for a handbag too.
no negatives for this product.

Smooth. Well-worth the price.

Cons:

Came with sticky label that required rubbing alcohol to remove. Fortunately, that was a one-time annoyance.

I bought this comb based on the positive recommendations here.
I use the comb to supplement finger-untangling. It does a more thorough job than finger-untangling alone.
The comb is very smooth and goes through my thick hair without much difficulty. The comb can easily remove small tangles; larger tangles are better removed with one's fingers. As expected, the wooden comb has no sharp or rough edges. It appears to be quite gentle.
The price has gone up to $7.00 (still inexpensive).

One splinter

I got this yesterday after looking for a seemless comb for months! it's great I used it with damp hair just now then I oiled and combed though again and I now have very smooth hair. My only problem with it is that I found a couple of splinters on it but I can easily sand them off. Best come i've ever bought.
