Description: Lush description: We got the idea for a conditioning, lentil shampoo from India, where women traditionally use a lentil mixture to keep long hair in good condition. This is the shampoo we particularly recommend for washing fine, children's hair because it's very gentle (hence the name) on their little heads. It has practical advantages for dealing with kids at bath time too; as it is solid you don't have to worry about putting the lid back on the bottle before they knock it over. You may also use Gentle Lentil on grown-up hair; the lentil mixture is particularly effective on normal to fine hair that has flyaway tendencies. Wash your hair with Gentle Lentil and it will be calm and stay put.

Ingredients: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearic Acid, Lentil Decoction (Lens esculenta), Cocamide DEA, Lecithin, Perfume.

Pros: scent, lather, gentle, leaves my hair shiny and soft
Cons: discontinued

I have only used this shampoo twice so far, but I'm in love!

First of all, the scent is delicious! It's a warm, creamy vanilla.
I can get a nice creamy lather.

Once my hair has dried, it is noticeably more shiny and sleek. This is not harsh on my hair or scalp at all. I can't believe this worked, actually. I thought it may be too gentle that it wouldn't get my hair clean, but boy was I wrong. This stuff is great.

Yes, it is discontinued unfortunately. LUSH brings it back occasionally for the retro LUSH rounds because it's still so popular (why did they discontinue it in the first place?). It is available elsewhere.

It does contain a sulfate, but my hair/scalp likes them so, no problems with that here.
