I own a Large one in Honey Marble, and LOVE it! Very sturdy, great for most updos, but I wish they would come in XL since I have lots of thick hair and it doesn't hold some updos.

I LOOOVE my Ficcare Maximas! I have about a dozen of them. I have another half dozen plus of other Ficcare clips, but the Maximas are my favorites.
The price is off-putting. When I first heard about them I thought there was no way I'd buy one. Then I held one. I used the clamp. It was strong, but held without pinching. The metal is very smooth- no rough spots. The hinge works great and doesn't eat my hair (like every other type of clip that has a hinge). My hair stays up all day when I wear my Maximas and I don't get headaches. They are as easy to use as a jaw clip, but 10x prettier.
My favorite colors are the jean and pink ones, but I wear the brushed silver and brushed gold ones most often. I am very careful about my enameled and/or painted and/or jeweled clips. The brushed metal ones work hard and I don't worry about them.
I HIGHLY recommend Ficcare Maximas!

I have about 10 large Maximas clips and 4 medium ones and I rotate them all. I wear a Ficcare almost every day and I find no problems with pulling or weight, apart from one day when I had had a lot of chemical treatment done and my scalp was a little sensitive.
I do worry a little that my hair will outgrow my large Maxes as my bun is already 3 inches across and the Max clips are always 'open' when holding my bun. (I am only at 21 inches.)
I can't recommend these babies enough
