Description: Camellia seed oil is high in oleic acid. It has been used in Japan for centuries to moisturize and condition the skin, hair and nails. Camellia oil is a nourishing addition to creams for dry, damaged skin, hair conditioners, scalp treatments, eye creams and after sun skin care products. It can be used in any proportion. Camellia oil is similar in color and viscosity to jojoba. It penetrates quickly and can be used alone on the skin, hair and nails. It is an exceptional oil for skin care formulations and soaps. Camellia seed oil can be used as a carrier oil for aromatherapy treatments.

Pros: natural, no scent, price
Cons: none

I paid approximately $6 for a 2 oz bottle from http://stores.ebay.com/Hedys-Haven

I like this oil better than jojoba oil. Jojoba oil is too waxy/heavy for me.
My other favorites are coconut oil (monoi) and grapeseed

I find that camellia oil is difficult to over-oil with. It's a light oil and I only need a couple of drops to oil my length.

I like to use this just before my weekly full head shampoo (when I wash all of my hair)

Pros: Smooths cuticle, good for detangling, reducess frizz
Cons: Must be very careful with ammount can easily put too much in

I bought a 60ml bottle of Oshima Tsubaki oil, which is a Japanese Camellia oil, for $13.

Wonderful oil for smoothing and anti frizz. I have coarse hair and it makes my wavy hair straighter so if I am looking for that effect this is the oil to use. It gives a great shine to hair.

For me it is easy to over oil with Camellia oil. I use this as a leave in on dry hair. It makes combing easier and I find less tangles.
